[ Fractional Digital Lead — Copenhagen ]
I make digital systems actually work.
I'm a fractional digital lead based in Copenhagen. Organisations too small for a full-time CTO hire me a few days a month to own their digital problems: messy software stacks, a CRM nobody trusts, systems that don't talk to each other, workflows stuck in spreadsheets, AI pressure without a plan. I don't just advise. I build.
[ Offers ]
-
Digital stack review
Two to three weeks, fixed scope. I map your tools, CRM, spend, integrations, and risks, and deliver a written plan: what to cut, what to connect, what to build, in what order. Most engagements start here.
-
Build sprint
Four to eight weeks of focused delivery: connect the systems, automate the workflow, build the internal tool, ship the pilot. Senior hands on the actual work, not a slide deck about it.
-
Fractional digital lead
Ongoing senior ownership of your digital domain, two to six days a month: digital transformation strategy, vendors, architecture, AI roadmap and governance, hiring, and hands-on building where it counts.
[ Funding ]
Much of this work can be co-funded. I'm an approved advisor in SMV:Digital, the Danish state's digitalisation programme. Eligible SMEs can receive grants of up to 300,000 DKK toward projects like these. I've also raised 9.6M DKK from Innovation Fund Denmark, and I help cultural institutions and NGOs build fundable project briefs. If budget is the obstacle, that is often solvable.

Copenhagen Capacity
As Head of Digital Development, I owned all digital platforms (~2M DKK/year in software spend, cut by ~30%) and led the build of a job portal serving 500,000+ international jobseekers: 400 automated crawlers, LLM enrichment, semantic job matching. Copenhagen Capacity remains an ongoing client.
-
Kople
Co-founded and served as CTO of a SaaS platform for NGOs running 1:1 matching programmes: volunteers with families, mentors with kids. Used in 8 countries, including by the Red Cross. Secured a 9.6M DKK Innovation Fund Denmark Grand Solutions grant with two universities.
-
Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek
Advisor to leadership on digital preparation for the museum's multi-year closure: the fragmented systems landscape, audience-facing digital products, and practical AI adoption.
-
Earlier
Engineering manager at Comverse, where my team's messaging platform was deployed by 100+ telecom operators worldwide. Battlefield simulation for Lockheed Martin. Officer and software team lead in the Israeli Air Force.
[ About ]
My background is unusual, and it's the point. I started as a software engineer, spent nine years as an art history professor in the US (PhD, Johns Hopkins), then returned to building: startup CTO, head of digital, founder. Twenty-five years of making software meet institutions, from companies and museums to NGOs and public organisations. I still write code most weeks.
That mix means I can sit in a leadership meeting in the morning and ship working software in the afternoon. Senior judgement, hands-on delivery.

The simplest start is a conversation. Tell me what's changing in your organisation and what isn't working. I'll tell you honestly whether I can help.
